Update - No. 19, April 12th, 2005 |
|
OK, it's been too long since the last Update, but
fear not, Fflint Central is still here and firing on all cylinders. Let's
start with a run down of what's happened since
October.
A bit late to encourage everyone to download the
latest FfC
Calendar maybe? Maybe not - just hang your head in shame
if you forgot to check it out in January and grab it now before everyone
discovers your
neglect.
In the last Update,
we mentioned that those lovely people at betterPropaganda
had included FfC on their site. bP's David Osborn also conducted
an e-mail interview with Fflinty personnel which can be found
here
. The best bit is that Andee from Aquarius Records
was coaxed into contributing some kind
words.
In November '04 we added a couple of items to the
Merchandise
page, both absolutely essential to the modern Fflint-enhanced lifestyle: a
black cap sporting our 'Devilhead' motif and a coffee mug to celebrate
Fflint Central's first 20 releases. Fill it with champagne and/or blood
and drink a toast to the next
20.......
Our pal Joe
Dalglish has been doing his damnedest to enthuse or annoy the
good listeners of KPSU
in Oregon by broadcasting two more of his 'Fflint only' shows. We're not
sure whether it's legal, but we'll always be grateful. Check out the
playlists here.
And now to the new
News.
Hoorah! The boys have finally got their arses
into gear and deposited another steaming pile of fresh audio on
Fflint Central HQ's
doorstep:
Guaranteed to protect against all unwanted General Election Campaigners. Vote BLD! Thanks
to Ade Ball for pointing out the forthcoming live appearance by
Manchester's favourite triple-brained Electronicists, Triclops.
The infamous trio (Dave Clarkson and Gareth Bibby of Lotta
Continua and our very own Tim Jones)
are part of 'Acoustic Saloon' taking place on Saturday,
April 16th at the Taurus Bar, Canal Street, Manchester. It's organised
by Electronica Fest of Hebden Bridge and also features
music from Sloman, Daddy Octopus and There
Was a Man. Throbbing visuals will be provided by long-term
collaborator VJ
Fusion aka the aforementioned Ade Ball. It starts
at 8pm and will cost ya 5 quid to get in. And don't forget that we've sneakily changed our e-mail address to fflint@gmail.com Tim &
