Mail Update - No. 15January 11th, 2004

Oops, this was due to be sent out in December.

FLUX

Thanks go to Graeme Rowland and Andi Chapple for the appearance of a short article in Manchester-based FLUX magazine. Graeme was kind enough to come up with the idea and the article, having already written various reviews of FfC releases for Brainwashed and Flux itself. It's great to see the piece in such a sumptuous and lovely printed mag: so great that we'll forgive the glaring typo in the title: Fllint indeed! Flux is now available all over the place, so hunt it down and devour it.

KPSU

Joe Dalglish, (aka Joe Pencil) that most hardcore of Fflint Central fans and painter extraordinaire, has got himself a slot on KPSU college radio at Portland State University. This has great significance for us, because although the show goes out for only 2 hours a week, such is Joe's devotion to the FfC cause, at least a quarter of that time, and sometimes more, is taken up with Fflinty sounds. The show is called 'At Odds' and is broadcast between midnight and 2am on Thursday mornings PST (that's 8-10am GMT for us Brits). KPSU broadcasts live on the Internet, so we've even got to hear a chunk of the show over breakfast. What better aid to digestion is there without a prescription? Cheers, Joe!!

RIP mp3 (dotcom)

It seems like an age since Fflint Central became part of the mp3.com site. In fact it was the Summer of 2000 and quite an exciting time for us, watching how many hapless individuals listened to the latest uploads from BLD. That community of enthusiastic online music makers and listeners really gave the fledgling FfC a boost, with plenty of kind encouragement from people all around the globe. Now that mp3.com is no more, just a final thanks to everyone who discovered FfC via the site and spread the word.

THE CALENDAR

Issue 4 of the eternally popular Fflint Central Calendar is now available, but heck, it's January already, so you've surely already downloaded it? Millions of others almost certainly have.

MERCHANDISE

The Festive Season is to our aft and receding swiftly, but irregular FfCWeb visitors may now be cursing their lack of attention.  No  greater show of love could there be than  purchasing a piece of quality Fflint Central Merchandise  for friends and family.  We've increased the choice by 100%. The hugely popular BLD t-shirt now has  company  in the form of a splendid Unholy Trinity-emblazoned partner. And for those who need to keep track of that old devil time, there's a lovely Fflint Central wall clock. Spread the Fflinty word and get gasps of admiration simultaneously with FfCMerch.....

So that's it for No. 15. HAPPY NEW-ISH YEAR!
